Mendocino Farms Plans Oct. 27 Briargate Opening; L.L.Bean to Replace Container Store

Mendocino Farms plans to open October 27 at 1765 Briargate Parkway, Suite 807, in The Promenade Shops at Briargate. It would be the sandwich-and-salad chain’s first Colorado Springs restaurant, The Gazette reports. At the same center, L.L.Bean is remodeling the former Container Store space for a new shop, according to the newspaper; L.L.Bean’s store listing still says “coming soon.”

L.L.Bean lists its incoming store at 1925 Briargate Parkway, Suite 611, with apparel, footwear, camping and hiking equipment, and fishing goods among its merchandise categories. Visitors have a planned date for the restaurant, but the outdoor retailer has not posted an opening day.

The Gazette says the Container Store closed in April 2026 and describes a late-October target for L.L.Bean. That target does not mean the store is open. Hines identifies itself as the Promenade’s owner and asset manager and says it acquired the center in 2019.

The Gazette’s September 28 report, updated September 29, corrects an earlier anticipated restaurant opening date. Mendocino Farms’ current opening page names October 27. The chain says anyone seeking its grand-opening offer must sign up by the day before opening and make a purchase.
