Alasso Targets Early 2028 Move-Ins at South Golden Road and Ulysses

Thompson Thrift is targeting early 2028 for the first resident move-ins at Alasso, its planned development at the northeast corner of South Golden Road and Ulysses Street near Golden. Its project announcement calls for 284 apartments and approximately 20,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, giving prospective renters and neighbors a more specific picture of what the corner is intended to become.

The approximately 9.3-acre plan includes two four-story buildings with apartments ranging from studios to three bedrooms, plus a 430-space structured garage. Thompson Thrift lists Alasso as “Coming Soon.” Early 2028 is its anticipated window for first move-ins, not an opening date for the commercial space.

Commercial space without named tenants

Thompson Thrift says the ground floor is intended for possible restaurant, fitness, service and other neighborhood-oriented uses. Its announcement names no signed commercial tenant or storefront opening date. People watching for a particular shop or restaurant have a description of the planned space, rather than a confirmed operator.

How the corner’s plans have developed

A March 2021 Jefferson County notice described a proposed Pleasant View mixed-use redevelopment along South Golden Road with approximately 300 apartments, 46 townhomes and commercial uses. Those were figures for the earlier proposal; Thompson Thrift’s current Alasso announcement specifies 284 apartments for its described site.

Baseline Engineering, the project’s civil engineer, describes construction proceeding on a broader, approximately 14-acre South Golden Road mixed-use project involving Thompson Thrift and Reva Development Partners. That account concerns the wider development; Alasso’s apartments remain planned, with first move-ins anticipated in early 2028.
